I’m posting Titty Tuesday on a Wednesday…it’s what’s happening.
Please excuse my train of thought and poor grammar to follow but try to stay with me…
Last weekend I was in Denver sharing scary stories with my girl Amber about the Devil/demons (I took a shower at her house and was actually terrified- and I don’t scare easily), then we had a lovely dinner in Lodo and then met my friend Manu, aka Psyk, who was playing a techno party at Norad where we danced and continuously drank. Then we were off to a techno after party. The night was filled with dancing, dancing, dancing, smoking, drinking, smoking, dancing, sleeping (though I use this word sparingly) then waking up to sunshine and t-shirt weather, walking around downtown Denver, drinking beer for hours in a jacuzzi, encounters with strange hotel restaurant service workers and smiling, smiling, smiling! Then I flew back to NY on Monday to jump back into the 9-5 grind while my friend stayed with me and explored NY. The week was filled with good dinners (him), bad dinners (me), dinners with new friends (Eleanor & Deepak), then off to Output (my new favorite NY Club) on Friday for more techno with Speedy J, Peter Van Hoesen and Mike Servito. Just before the club, a man and his girlfriend asked us to help them steal a fire hydrant but I definitely did not have the energy for that. We met up with my bestie, Cathy and with Deepak and Eleanor and entered a dance experience that had the energy and the music vibrating in our heads and through our teeth– so amazing! I just remember hugging a lot, jumping, spinning, dancing, more hugging, happiness and smiling constantly. I also lost my jacket in coat check– not too sure how I managed that one…After about 4 hours of sleep, we moved to the Hotel Americano and enjoyed a lovely brunch (I love this hotel. They have an iPad in every room) then passed out dead for three hours, then woke to be scooped up by Eleanor who took us to The National Underground where Domingo Cava, Deepak Sharma and Psyk played an amazingggg party– deep underground tunes– excellent party vibes with Hidden Recordings– then back to the Hotel Americano for 2.5 hours of sleep. We had a quick sleepy good bye and I was late to meet with my amazing and talented friends Damien and Supakitch for a photo shoot and tattoo session. We’re working on a very exciting tattoo project called “Endorphin” but I’ll describe it more in depth later. I spent the next 8 hours being tattoo’d and filmed while sleep deprived and hungover.
Famous last words from Damien from the night before, “Angie, get your beauty rest.” Ummmm. THAT definitely didn’t happen. Thank god for Cathy bringing the croissants and coffee!
I truly had an amazing experience this past week and I’m so happy to have shared adventures with some of you.
After being in NY for 5 years, I finally visited the Empire State Building. Thanks Manu! You’re such an amazing soul and a great talent and person.
Next week, I’ll be more normal and post on the correct day.
